BFB Labs wins funding to help tackle Mental Health Inequalities in Children and Young People

BFB Labs along with partners  including Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS foundation Trust, University of Manchester and GM CAMHS Digital have been awarded funding by SBRI Healthcare as part Competition 19 to help tackle Mental Health Inequalities in Children and Young People.

This project will deliver an implementation study of Lumi Nova: Tales of Courage (CE marked digital therapeutic game for childhood anxiety) to test its feasibility and acceptability amongst children & young people living in poverty, and then make refinements to the intervention, and its deployment method, to optimise it for this audience ready for full deployment.

It will leverage sector-wide understanding of the barriers and motivators of deploying and using digital interventions in economically disadvantaged communities, along with any systemic challenges in health and social care.

The competition, developed in partnership with NHS England and NHS Improvement, and the Accelerated Access Collaborative, sought solutions to supporting improvements in mental health services, enabling access and support for disadvantaged, marginalised or BAME communities
